Yes, I'll grab you some papers! I think if you could write more, Bonnie would publish you. Remember, this is personal for her. She would love to have the "What to say" as an article. What you could do for Bonnie, is include her son's marker in your walk. She would be ever greatful. I have pictures already of her, his wife and his children standing in back of it. You bet Jan, I will be glad to write more for Bonnie, and I have already promised her to make a special trip to Nacadoches, a city I am familiar with.
We saw the greatest number of memorial markers during the section of our move from Florida to Colorado on that day when we drove 22 hours to get to your house. Even though we took the "wrong" highway before Baton Rouge, which cost us time, we saw that there were hundreds of memorials. This reminds me, Jan, that when I was being interviewed by the editor of Valley Publishing, in Monte Vista, she told of a Colorado state senator who, having lost a child, made it possible recently for there to be roadside markers in this state. They are all over New Mexico, but are much fewer here, because apparently some people considered them an eyesore. Well, he fought for our rights in this matter and got them. I will post his name here as soon as I can find it, and will aslo be in touch with him. Thank God for this man! The two of them are friends. I would like to get to know him, too.
